Plume brushes up on industry trends at IMATS Vancouver

Thousands of professional and aspiring makeup artists descended upon Vancouver at the annual three-day International Makeup Artist Trade Show, better known as IMATS. The Plume team was on-location at this gathering of the industry’s top professionals.

We were thrilled to share our journey and lash secrets with beauty experts from the film, fashion, television and theater makeup industries. These accomplished artists delighted attendees with inspiring talks of successes and challenges and gave some truly astounding demonstrations. 

Pro Night with Blanche Macdonald

Blanche Macdonald hosted an exclusive VIP event at their beautiful Robson Street Campus complete with the finest of treats, engaging award-winning speakers, and an opportunity for VIP attendees to connect on a personal level.  We enjoyed meeting Kevin James Bennett, Emmy Award Winning Makeup Artist, Cosmetic Developer, Educator and Journalist, Norma Hill-Patton, Celebrity Makeup Artist, Roque Cozzette, Beauty Industry Pro and Educator, and Michael Key, Emmy Award-winning makeup artist, Make-up Artist Magazine Publisher, and Founder of IMATS.  All of these elite artists graciously shared their secrets to success.

Cozzette, one of the keynote speakers, emphasized living with gratitude to attract positive individuals to enrich your life and career. His speaking counterpart, Michael Key, expressed the importance of preparation for every opportunity – you never know when a person or situation can change the course of your life path.  Don’t we know it!
