Study design and measurements
This was a prospective, single-arm, open-label observational study with rolling enrollment. Participants used Plume Elite during their normal routine and were assessed at baseline and Weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8. Standardized professional photography and Aram Huvis APM 300 microscope imaging measured maximum eyelash length in millimeters and eyelash area in pixels as a proxy for volume and density.
Participants remained under the supervision of their own healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, optometrists, dermatologists, and ophthalmologists, as applicable.
Reported outcomes among 85 completers
- Mean maximum eyelash length increased 18.3%, from 9.8 mm at baseline to 11.6 mm at Week 8.
- Mean eyelash area increased 60.7%, from 25,807 pixels at baseline to 41,471 pixels at Week 8.
- Every completer showed an increase in both measured length and measured area.
- Most users reported noticeable results within three weeks; the mean self-reported time to noticeable results was 17 days.
- No adverse events were recorded during the eight-week study, and no participant discontinued for a safety- or product-related reason.
