Curated Cosmetics at CosmoProf

With over 30,000 attendees this year, CosmoProf North America (CPNA) proved its reputation as the foremost B2B beauty trade show in the Western world. The sumptuous Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas was the host this year, organizing over 1100 beauty exhibitors from 38 different countries. 

A highlight of the event was the Beauty Pitch 2016, where entrepreneurs presented their innovation beauty concepts to world-renowned Investors and Entrepreneurs including:

• John Paul Dejoria, Co-Founder of Paul Mitchell and the Patron Spirits Company
• Emily Dougherty, Beauty Director of Elle Magazine 
• Kevin Harrington, Founder of As Seen on TV and Investor on Shark Tank

Glam Meets Green  

Plume’s first appearance at the show coincided with another truly exciting development at CosmoProf – the introduction of a complete ‘green beauty’ section for the first time ever. Named “Discover Green”, this area was dedicated to eco-friendly, clean, organic, and natural beauty products that are trailblazers in their field. Plume was proud to be among these innovative companies who share our vision of Beauty Without Sacrifice.

The introduction of Discover Green signals an important step in the clean beauty revolution – a response to the rising demand for products that are not only effective and beautiful, but that are safe and eco-conscious in their production. Discover Green far and away generated the highest level of traffic from prominent global buyers from major retail chains such as Costco and Whole Foods to premium natural cosmetics retailers like Detox Market and Space NK.  

Trendy Treasures

Also at the show, were the renowned CNPA Trendscouts – Beauty Experts hand selected for their prominence and expertise in all things beauty. These lovely ladies researched and tested the top beauty products to determine their top 10 Trendsetter award recipients.

Plume was honored to receive one of these coveted Trendsetter Awards for our Lash & Brow Enhancing Serum from Trend Scout, Romy Schorr.
